Mix Engineer

Honestly,I love mixing! By now I’ve mixed well over a thousand songs for loads of different artists across many different styles.

Some of the albums I’ve mixed include albums for New Order, The Charlatans, Electronic, Johnny Marr.

I have also mixed many live recordings for artists including Johnny Marr, The Cribs, New Order, Manchester vs Cancer and HENGE.

My studio is setup very much with mixing in mind, and I love making songs sound amazing.

MANCHESTER PRODUCER

Producer Engineer

I started out recording music in Chapel studios in Lincolnshire as a house engineer. This helped me develop my core recording skills working on lots of different types of music with some amazing producers.

It was in Chapel Studios where I met Johnny Marr who asked me to move to Manchester and record his band “Electronic” for their 2nd Album. This began many years of recording all of Johnnys music and helped introduce me to many other bands, including New Order and The Charlatans.
As a producer, I try to reflect and enhance the artists vision for the music, utilising the skills I have learnt over the years from some amazing people.

Mastering music

Mastering Engineer

In 2017 I began to take an interest in mastering. I had already mastered a couple of B-sides for Johnny Marr, plus a few others so relished the chance to develop the “dark arts” of mastering. Fast forward a few years, and I’m now the head of mastering at Eve studios in Stockport.

I believe my ‘producers ear’ and background in mixing and record production gives me a valuable perspective when it comes to mastering.
